SNETTERTON 300 - LAST JCR TRACK TIME FOR 2023

SNETTERTON 300 - LAST JCR TRACK TIME FOR 2023

For the last planned track event of 2023 we went all out, taking the entire JCR fleet along to the Snetterton 300 circuit for a day of testing and verification.

With crucial testing to complete on all three of our cars around this super quick circuit we made sure to start early and in the end ran right until the chequered flag with a beautiful sunset!

Check out the video below for a look of what we got up to during the day.

First up was to test the JCR Dakar on track after the latest round of adjustments had been applied. There's no doubt that, despite being a little misunderstood, the 911 Dakar is a brilliant package right out of the factory, however that doesn't mean there isn't room for subtle improvements to be made.

With the latest round of geometry changes we've introduced a more playful yet stable balance to the car which means even more fun along with a greater level of stability at higher speeds. Something the 911 Dakar does suffer with in stock trim.

We'll be sharing a more in depth look at the work completed on the 911 Dakar in an upcoming blog, soon.

On track next was the JCR GT4 RS. We only made one change to the GT4 RS since the last time out which was to remove our Race Catted Link Pipes and swap them out for the OEM link pipes. This was to ensure that we could pass the super strict noise test on the day.

The JCR 4RS was running a combination of our Inconel Race Manifolds along with OEM Link Pipes, OEM Rear Silencer plus a set of our Titanium Silenced Tips. We measured lower than OEM noise readings on the day but still benefitted from a healthy chunk of performance due to our Inconel Race Manifolds being installed.

One of the big considerations with all of our product line is to make parts as modular as possible and the GT4 RS is no exception. Testing our Inconel Race Manifolds in isolation along with the factory exhaust system was a great opportunity to confirm that they're still extremely effective even when combined with all OEM exhaust components there after.

After driving the car on track all day, even into the sunset; we couldn't be happier with how our testing went, even when running on Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres rather than our usual Cup 2R's.

We had an incredibly varied day of driving on track for our last day of the year. Our final car on track was the JCR Cayenne Turbo GT. Despite weighing nearly 2.5 Tonnes, this car surprises us (and other track users) every time with just how capable it is on track.

This fantastic base meant that we could really put the car through its paces for the final testing of our 9YA Cayenne Inconel Race Cats prior to release. Testing under bonnet temperatures on key areas and referencing testing data we gathered from the factory car.

Due to the 'Hot V' set up of the 4.0TT engine we need to be sure that even under the most extreme conditions our exhaust performs. Our target was to reduce under bonnet temperatures compared to OEM with our Inconel Race Cats installed and thats exactly what we did. Not only do these parts dramatically reduce weight and improve response, torque and power output they also reduce air intake temperatures by up to 20% according to our testing data.

Due to the stock airbox sitting directly above the turbos and exhaust system, our high flow cats reduced restrictions and Inconel Heat shielding actually dropped the air intake temps average temperature by 12c compared to the car in 100% stock trim. This drop in air intake temperatures further exacerbates the performance gains, after all; turbos like cool air!

We can't thank everyone who's been involved in our 2023 track day season enough! Bring on 2024 for more cars, more circuits and more noise!
