JCR LAUNCHES PRODUCT RANGE FOR A HYBRID LIKE NO OTHER

After years of development, Porsche launched the mind blowing 918 Spyder in 2013. The Porsche 918 Spyder is up there with one of the most technologically advanced cars ever produced and with only 918 units in circulation it's also a rare beast! It's fitting that we launch our first product range for a Hybrid vehicle shortly after purchasing our very first Hybrid ourselves with the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid joining our garage.

The 918 Spyder is powered by a naturally-aspirated 4.6 litre V8 engine, developing 608 horsepower (453 kW). With two electric motors delivering an additional 279 horsepower (208 kW) it has a combined output of 887 horsepower (661 kW)

Even though this car is nothing short of spectacular in standard guise there's still room for improvement and we're extremely excited to be launching a range of JCR products that we have worked exceptionally hard on to enhance your experience with your 918 Spyder. 

JCR 918 SYDER INCONEL RACE CATS

Our Inconel Race Cats utilise 200cel HJS Race Cats. This means you benefit from the HP and TQ increase along with a subtle bump in overall volume vs the factory cat pipes whilst keeping the car emissions legal. This makes for a great option for street cars which require functioning cats to be placed in the exhaust system.

JCR 918 SPYDER INCONEL VALVED RACE PIPE

Through the use of Inconel 625 and high end motorsport heat shielding technology have been able to extract a little more power plus an all new incredible tone from the exhaust which brings a whole new character to this car, especially with the roof removed.

Direct Replacement / Modular Fitment

The JCR Inconel Valved Race Pipe is a full direct replacement product for the OEM 918 Spyder rear silencer. No fabrication required and no additional parts. Simply remove the factory rear silencer and replace with the JCR Inconel Valved Race Pipe and enjoy weight savings, power gains and an incredible sound.

The sound signature of this exhaust system has been engineered to deliver a sound quality fitting of this masterpiece. Gone is the flat and dull exhaust note, replaced with a beautiful V8 howl and accompanied by a more substantial volume upon request. Utilising our calculated merge design we have brought the 4.6L V8 installed in 918 Spyder to life with an exotic high quality tone. Now the sound truly matches the performance of this stunning hypercar.

This system retains factory valve control, ensuring quiet cruising with valves closed with the ability to increase volume significantly with valves open.

Every component of the JCR Titanium Exhaust line is guaranteed to improve HP & TQ with to a varying degree dependant on the specific combination of parts.

The development of products for this platform has taken us roughly 6 months and we're absolutely delighted with the results. Systems are now in full production and we will be shipping our first customer systems early in 2023

Sadly, until the day we have our own 918 Spyder we probably won't get the opportunity to get a lap record attempt to compare it to the official Nürburgring Nordschleife lap time of 6 minutes and 57 seconds. However, here at JCR we like to make things happen so... keep your eyes peeled.
