SOHO SUMMIT POWERED BY PORSCHE
A Special Invite to the First-Ever Porsche GT Circle Event
As members of the new Porsche GT Circle group, we were among a select few fortunate enough to be invited to the Soho Summit, hosted at the stunning Soho Farmhouse in the heart of the Cotswolds here in the UK. This was the inaugural event for the GT Circle and what a privilege it was to be part of it. We wanted to share a glimpse of our unforgettable experience.
What is the Porsche GT Circle?
Porsche describe the new GT Circle group as - an action-packed community bound by a limitless passion for speed. Only here you find direct access to our experts, exciting events around the globe, and a network to meet fellow GT drivers.
What is the Soho Summit?
Launched in 2023, the Soho Summit is a creative collaboration between Soho Farmhouse and long-time partner Porsche. The event brings together a dynamic community of influential figures from design, art, film, music, and television for two days of inspiration, innovation, and connection.
This year’s theme, "When Courage Inspires Creative Change", set the tone for a thought-provoking programme filled with engaging talks, hands-on workshops, masterclasses, and film screenings.
Soho Farmhouse and Porsche share a deep-rooted partnership, grounded in the belief that Porsche is a brand built by dreamers, visionaries like founder Ferry Porsche, whose bold ideas forever reshaped the automotive world. The Soho Summit, powered by Porsche, was a truly special collaboration that we were thrilled to experience.
The Itinerary
Our day began at Caffeine and Machine, The Hill, in Ettington, just on the edge of the Cotswolds. This was the meeting point for a convoy of just 30 specially invited cars. A perfect mix of networking, conversation, and breakfast kicked things off in style. Naturally, we brought out the ST for the occasion. Within five minutes, another ST parked right next to ours, making for an impromptu but spectacular photo opportunity.
From there, we hit the road following a carefully curated scenic route via the ROADS by Porsche app, guiding us effortlessly through the picturesque British countryside straight to Soho Farmhouse in Great Tew.
Upon arrival, GT Circle guests were ushered into a dedicated parking area just steps from the entrance. Our first stop was the Glass House, an elegant greenhouse set within a walled garden where we enjoyed a vibrant Garden Table lunch under the pergola. The atmosphere was elevated further by a refreshing non-alcoholic mocktail, created in partnership with Seedlip.
On the way, we passed a captivating display of race cars, including 963 LMDh and 718 GT4 RS Clubsport, which sparked plenty of conversation and admiration.
Jonny’s Take:
"Seeing the Porsche 963 Hypercar instantly took me back to when I raced in the LMP1 Lola in the American Le Mans Series and LeMans 24. The evolution due to new technology and innovative engineering since then has been remarkable."
Also stealing the spotlight was the newly unveiled Porsche 911 Spirit 70 in the exclusive Olive Neo finish, positioned just in front of the stables. It felt like a true behind-the-scenes moment to see this stunning machine so soon after its press debut.
Jonny’s Review:
"Whilst the colour might not be to everyone's taste, the car looked pretty good in person! The 992.2 GTS platform is a fantastic start point and so there's no doubt this car will be awesome to drive!"
Conversations that Matter
One of the most engaging moments of the day was an intimate talk featuring former F1 driver and current Porsche endurance racer Felipe Nasr, along with very successful female racing driver Rahel Frey, hosted by Porsche Partnerships Director Deniz Keskin. The discussion focused on the world of motorsport, sparking vivid memories for Jonny—especially as they spoke about the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans, one of his all-time favourite racing experiences which he took part in three times in total.
We wrapped up the day at the Hay Barn, where we explored a stunning example of a 964 from Porsche Silverstone 'Classic collection' and listened to another round of insightful presentations.
A Day to Remember
A huge thank you to Porsche GB and the GT Circle team for orchestrating such an exceptional experience. We’re incredibly grateful to have been part of this journey and are already looking forward to more events this year. We can't wait to take you along for the ride.
We hope to receive some official images from the Porsche team soon which we will share with you.
