GET TRACK READY

When hitting the track, there are two key factors to ensure you stay within the rules and avoid the dreaded ‘Black Flag’. A securely installed tow hook and compliance with the circuits specific noise limits.

Tow Hooks

A Tow Hook is a mandatory requirement for any track day. Most circuits require at least one securely fitted tow hook, either at the front or rear of your vehicle, with many organisers recommending two for added safety. Always check the specific rules of your track day organiser before heading to the track.

Why Are Tow Hooks Required?

Simply put, safety. If your car becomes stranded or involved in an incident, a tow hook allows for a quick and safe recovery by the marshals, minimising delays and hazards on the track.

Many cars come equipped with tow hooks from the factory, but at JCR, we have developed a more durable, aesthetically refined, and performance-enhancing solution while meeting all track regulations.

We offer two Tow Hook options:

JCR Billet Titanium Tow Hook

  • Crafted from 100% Titanium (Ti-6Al-4V) for superior strength.

  • Delivers a 50% weight reduction compared to the OEM tow hook.

JCR Titanium Folding Tow Hook

  • Constructed from a combination of Titanium (Ti-6Al-4V) and 7000 Series Aluminium for an optimal balance of strength and weight savings.

  • Features a built-in GoPro / Action Cam mount, allowing you to capture incredible and unique on-track footage.

  • The folding mechanism can be precisely positioned and locked to ensure perfect alignment for recording.

Both JCR tow hook options are direct replacements for factory tow hooks and can be installed at the front or rear of your vehicle. Utilising advanced FEA (Finite Element Analysis) technology, these tow hooks outperform OEM versions in strength and meet official manufacturer test criteria.

Our tow hooks are compatible with all late-generation Porsche models. If you're unsure whether our tow hooks fit your vehicle, feel free to reach out, we're happy to help.

Silenced Exhaust Tips

Many race circuits enforce strict noise regulations, typically capping "drive-by" noise levels around 98-102dB for most UK and European circuits. This means your car's noise is measured as it passes designated trackside monitoring points, usually where the driver would be at full throttle, high RPM.

Additionally, some circuits conduct static noise tests, where you’ll be asked to rev the engine of your vehicle to a set RPM while stationary. If your car exceeds the set limit, you’re generally given an opportunity to reduce the vehicles sound level, failure to do this can lead to exclusion from the event.

With stricter noise regulations becoming more common place, even stock cars can exceed track noise limits, making it difficult to enjoy uninterrupted track time. At JCR, we offer a range of Silenced Tip solution for multiple Porsche models, including options that are compatible with stock exhausts.

Our silencer tips are primarily designed for the track-focused Porsche models and provide a simple yet highly effective way to stay within circuit noise limits.
